• West Memphis City Council Special Election – Early voting going on now and runs through Monday, May 13 (no Saturday) from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Election day is Tuesday, May 14 from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

• Arkansas Welcome Center Annual Tourism Day – today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 704 E. Service Rd.

• Crittenden County Master Gardener Plant Sale – today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. and Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 104 Cypress Ave., Marion (across from courthouse). Flowers, vegetables, potted plants, hanging baskets, yard art and yard furniture.

• LUPUS Awareness Month Symposium – Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. held at Arkansas Library System Darragh Center Auditorium located at 100 Rock St., Little Rock. • Marion Millage/School Board Voting – Early voting begins Tuesday, May 14, at the Crittenden County Courthouse. Early voting will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., through Monday, May 20 (no weekend voting). All early voting will take place at the courthouse. On Election Day, votes may be cast at any of the following locations: Marion Fire Department, 364 Old Military Rd., in Marion.

Crawfordsville Water Department, 1468 Old Hwy. 64, in Crawfordsville. W.R. Golden Community Center, 1084 3rd St., in Turrell. Polls will be open on Election Day, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

• Title I meeting – There will be a Title I parent meeting on Tuesday, May 14, at 5 p.m., in the conference room of the Title I building (301 S.

Avalon St., West Memphis) for parents of West Memphis students. The meeting will explain how the West Memphis School District is using Title I funds to meet learning goals for the students and how parents can become involved in the education of their children.

Parents are urged to attend.

Refreshments will be served.

• West Memphis Christian Giant Rummage Sale – Saturday, May 18 at 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 1101 N. Missouri, West Memphis. Lots of good stuff including clothes, furniture, decorator items and home decor.

• 8th Street Mission for Jesus Christ’s Annual Golf Tournament – Monday, May, 20 at Meadowbrook Country Club. Lunch at 11:30 a.m.

• Memorial Day Tribute –

West Memphis and Crittenden County residents are invited Tuesday May 21, at 6 p.m., to the West Memphis Civic Center to pay tribute to all of our heroes who served in the United States Military that are no longer with us. • Crittenden County Health Unit – The Crittenden County Health Unit will have special hours on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday, from 8 a.m.
