Nurse- Family Partnership, Parents As Teachers designed for healthy pregnancies, healthy babies

Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a free program for women who are pregnant with their first baby. When enrolled, a registered nurse will make home visits and provide the support, advice and information needed to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Women are enrolled before the end of their 28th week of pregnancy and receive visits up until their child reaches age 2. NFP is located in 6 counties in Arkansas. Parents As Teachers is a free program for prenatal women and children up to 3 years. Enrolled families receive two home visits per month. The Home Visitors work closely with the families to increase the parents' knowledge of early childhood development, provide early detection of developmental delays, and increase children's school readiness and success.
