A Marion High School student was transported by ambulance to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital after being injured in a car accident yesterday morning.

According to a release from the school district, the incident occurred, “off campus at the intersection of E.

Brick Drive and L.H. Polk Drive.”

The student’s name has not been released. According to the report, the Marion Police Department is investigating the incident.

“Initial reports indicate the student was in the crosswalk at the intersection when a vehicle traveling eastbound hit him.”
