St. Michael's Catholic School held the Crittenden County District Spelling Bee on January 28. Miss Zaima Lalani, 4th grade student at St. Michael's, was one of 20 competitors — the top 10 finishers from her School Bee and the top 10 finishers from West Memphis Christian. Zaima won with her championship word, phoenix. Aiden Barber (right), 5th grade, and older brother, Wesley Barber (left), 6th grade, both from St. Michael's, finished second and third respectively.
