Local AKA’s change from ‘pink’ to ‘red’ for a good cause
Sorority shows support for American Heart Association
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Pi Chi Omega Chapter, will host a Wine & Cheese Gala at Terry’s Event Center located at 200 Martin Luther King Dr., in West Memphis, on Friday, Feb. 5, from 7 to 10 p.m.
This event is held in partnership with the American Heart Association and the West Memphis Achievement Association (Kappa Alpha Psi). AKA Chapters across the world are hosting different 'PINK' goes 'RED' events as a National Impact Day to support the American Heart Association.
The theme for this great event is: 'Go Red for Your Heart and Soul.' The event is free; however, donations will be accepted throughout the evening. Donations may also be mailed to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Pi Chi Omega Chapter, P.O Box 5014, West Memphis, AR 72303.
There will be food and beverages to enjoy as well as live entertainment.
There will also be a silent auction and door prizes.
All proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association.
The event Chairman is Mrs. Nykkia Roberts Sellers, and the Co-Chairman is Ms. Ashley Robinson. The local Chapter President is Mrs.
Emma Milliner Robinson.
