LITTLE ROCK Arkansas Secretary of State Mark Martin is asking Arkansans to make note of some important upcoming dates this election season.

The Preferential Primary and Nonpartisan General Election have been moved this year to March 1. Polls will be open from 7:30 a.m.

until 7:30 p.m.

Some counties may open early voting on Feb. 15. Please check with your county clerk to confirm early voting times and locations.

If you wish to vote in the Primary on March 1, you must be registered to vote by Monday Febr. 1. You can register to vote at your local county clerk’s office, library, public assistance office, or you may print a form at www.sos.arkansas.gov/elec tions and mail it to the Secretary of State’s Office. Prospective voters under age 18 who will be 18 before the March 1 Primary may still register.
