“Today, we are celebrating,” said Jennifer Taylor, administrator for Willowbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and with good cause.

A team of surveyors conducted a Federal Comparative Survey last week at Willowbend which graded the Marion facility in all areas of discipline and standards. The survey process consisted of an extensive review of resident medical records, observation of medication administration and meal service, a thorough and indepth evaluation of sanitation and infection control measures, interviews with resident's family members, a group interview with residents, and review of many other practices and procedures.

Taylor and the staff at Willowbend were rewarded for their efforts with an exemplary report.

“We at Willowbend are extremely proud to share with our community our report of a deficiency-free federal survey,” she said.

“The team of Willowbend Nursing and Rehabilitation focuses and prioritizes resident care everyday and that is evident in our survey results. This is an accomplishment to be celebrated not only for the great job we're doing but also because our residents and their loved ones remain the focus of what we do. Quality care is a top priority and residents can and should expect this type of survey result.”
