Kinder Songs duo serves as back- toschool finale

Branch Librarian It was the summer to end all summers at the Woolfolk Public Library!

Rockey the Redbird kicked off the excitement which continued through June and July. We had visits from the Memphis Children's Museum, Co-Motion Studio, Magic Mr.

Nick and other fun-filled events. There were Cowboy Songs, robots and really BIG fish! Last week saw our summer events winding down with Brian and Teri Kinder and Kinder Songs, with children on their feet clapping, marching and exercising to the music. It was the perfect end to a perfect summer!

We all know what that means — when summer winds down, it is time to get ready for back to school. We are here to assist students with 12 computers for patrons to use, many reference books to aid with college tests and a vast array of classic titles such as The Scarlet Letter by Nathanial Hawthorne, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird.

These are just a few of the many titles available for check out in our Classics Section.

For those of you that don't have to worry about back to school and just want a good book to read, come check out the newest releases: The much anticipated sequel to The Bourbon Kings by J. R.

Ward The Angel's Share, Liane Moriarty Truly Madly Guilty and Bullseye by James Patterson. New on the Non-Fiction shelf is American Heiress by Jeffrey Toobin that chronicles Patricia Heart's kidnapping and life on the run. Also new is Not Pretty Enough by Gerri Hirshey that tells the story of Helen Gurley Brown.

Most of our new fiction releases are also available on CDs for those on the go.

And for the little ones that are not quite ready for school, please join us on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. for story time, crafts and snacks. We are proud to have Ms. Toni come in on Tuesday mornings to read the stories to the little ones and she has become quite a favorite of all the children.

So please come visit us at Woolfolk Public Library at 100 N. Currie Street in Marion. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. until noon, or check out the Woolfolk Public Library website at www.woolfolklibrary. org.
