A little lumberjacking in Marion

Volunteers saw the need and saw the big tree in the south lot of Marion Methodist last Tuesday evening. The lone pin oak was enough of a landmark that the church had paved around it but it toppled in the Monday evening wind gusts. This old oak laid uprooted at Marion United Methodist Church. It broke near the base and pushed pallets of spare bricks around. After heavy winds, the geocache hidden in the spot is out of commission, too.
