– Will destroy 20102011 special education records for students who were dismissed from special education or graduated during the 2010-2011 school year. The student or custodial parents interested in picking up records will need to contact Paula Rose-Greer, Special Education Director at (870)732-8555 before June 30th. Records may be picked up at 410 W. Tyler, Suite B from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Proof of identity is required.
• West Memphis Class of 1964, 70th Birthday Bash – Beginning Friday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at Panchos Mexican Restaurant in the back party room. Buffet meal $16 a person. Saturday, June 4 at the Country Club beginning at 6 p.m. for visiting. Meal at 7 p.m. DJ at 8 until 11:30 or so. $40 per person. Other classmates are also invited. • Month Long Health Clinic – The Delta Regional Authority and the U.S. Army Reserve will be in West Memphis Friday, June 3, 10:30 a.m. at Lehr Arena, West Memphis High School, 501 E. Broadway, West Memphis, to officially launch a month-long health clinic for residents of east Arkansas, west Tennessee and northwest Mississippi providing medical, dental and eye screenings at no charge to patients from Monday, June 6 through Saturday, June 25.
• Small Fry Triathlon – Brunetti Field in Marion on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. until noon. A great race for kids ages 2-6! The athletes will run 25 yards, bike/trike 50 yards and “swim” through water spray for 10 yards. Each racer gets a racing bib, T-shirt and gold medal. $20 per child, after May 27th $25 per child. • Relay For Life of Crittenden County – “Color our world with HOPE while finding a cure FOR ALL CANCERS” Saturday, June 4, 4 to 11 p.m. at Marion First Baptist Church, 2137 Hwy. 77, Marion. Opening ceremony begins at 4 p.m. Live performance by the Incredible Infinity Band. Featuring ceremonies to honor cancer survivors & caregivers, video game truck, silent auction, Zumba contests, various games & activities for all ages, inflated bouncy houses and plenty of delicious food!
• Crittenden County Democratic Party Central Committee Meeting – Monday, June 6 at 6 p.m. at Arkansas State University-Mid South, room 104, West Memphis.
• Miss Empowered Christian Pageant – Informational meeting Thursday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at New Birth Ministries, 420 E. Broadway, next to AMECA in West Memphis. Pageant for ages 5-12 and 1318. For questions contact Mrs. C. Evans at 870-636-2259.
• Summer Food Program Earle School District Feeding Program – June 6 through July 28 at Earle High School Cafeteria, 16432 Hwy. 64 West, Earle. Meals will be provided Monday-Friday for children up to 18 years old. Closed July 4.
• Summer Feeding Program Mount Beulah Outreach – June 6 through July 28 at 320 Lee Ave., Earle. Snack 1 p.m. Supper 3 p.m. All meals served daily Monday-Friday for children up to 18 years old.
• United Auto Workers Retirees Meeting – Thursday, June 9 at 11:30 a.m. at Grecian Steak House, 210 Airport Rd., Paragould.
