The Happy Hour Club met at the First United Methodist Church Morrison Fellowship Hall April 4 where they enjoyed a potluck luncheon. The tables were covered with green cloths and decorated with vases of Spring flowers and colorful beads.

Becky Knapp, president, presided.

Rev. Tony Wells gave the devotional on “Friends and Friendships.” The group sang “The Bond of Love” led by Rev. Wells and accompanied by Jane Speed.

Frankie Swindle was recognized for her April birthday and also won a door prize. Other prize winners were Doris Gately, Donna Hooker and Christine Littlejohn.

Rev. Stacie Grubbs, Ken Lancaster, Janis Lancaster, J. W. Ellis, Adria Roberts, Sue Dorman, Laura Pritchard, Allison Bird, Brennan Bird, Faye Thompson and Sue Ann Elms were also present.

*** The Men’s Coffee and Prayer group met at the Earle Baptist Church at 9 a.m. March 30.

Those attending were Edmon Davis, Doug Manchester, Bob Baker, Ken Lancaster, Elbert Person, Rev. Clayton Adams, Bill Rogers, Noah Hill, Tommy Staggs and Rev. Tony Wells.

*** Ellen Holloway and her daughter Teresa Bishop of Searcy spent several days in Bozier City, Louisiana recently where they visited in the home of Sharon and Frank Stinson.

*** The Earle Music Coterie will meet at the Earle Baptist Church April 21 at 7 p.m. Rev. Tony Wells is president. Everyone is invited to attend. *** Mary Jo and Tommy Staggs were in Collierville, Tennessee recently where they participated in the Tennessee Lost Tribe Archery

Tournament. *** Andria and Frank Jewell and son Ian of Marietta, Georgia spent a week recently in the home of Charlene and Elbert Person.

*** Frankie Swindle was honored for her April 1 birthday with a dinner held at the home of Mary Jo and Tommy Staggs.

Others present were Jessica and Jerry Wayne White and children Allison and Ashley. *** A group from First Assembly of God Church was in Memphis March 31 at Hope Presbyterian Church to attend the Chondra Pierce Concert. She is a Christian comedian.

Among those taking the trip was Terre Rodgers, Linda Jo Branch, Julie Thompson, Autumn Currie, Lori Needham, Michelle McCormick, Delores Smith and Laurie Adams.
