Enna Gay McLemore Maxwell

Erma Gay McLemore Maxwell passed away at her home on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at the Erma Maxwell age of 84.

Erma was bom Oct. 4,1934, in Parkin, to parents Edward and Grace McLemore. She later met and married her love in Travis S. Maxwell and the two were able to spend 53 years together before God called him home. She spent many years caring for others as a nurse. She was a recent attendee of the Three Trees Cowboy Church in Wynne.

Erma loved her dog Beretta as the two were always sitting cuddled together. Most of all though, Erma was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all.

Erma is survived by two sons, Galen Maxwell (Debbie) and Bruce Maxwell (Bonnie) both of Earle; two daughters, Susie Chappell of Wynne and Rebecca “Doll” Maxwell of Earle; one sister, Rebecca Keeling of Kingsport, Tennessee; and one brother, Douglas McLemore (Terrie) of Dayton, Ohio.

Erma’s memory will forever be cherished by five grandchildren, Little Fred Chappell, Mandy Mooneyham, Gracie Chappell, Hunter Wood and Nick Wood; as well as three great-grandchildren, Kylen Chappell, Lola Chappell and Eli Bennett Wood. A special thanks goes to her caregivers, Diane, Sue and Essie. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution be made to any hospice agency of your choice. Both visitation and service will take place at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by the service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
