Mark Sheffield Brown, 61, of Horseshoe Lake passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was born in Memphis on May 25, 1954 to Charles Dillard Brown and Polly Martin Brown and was an alumni of Missouri Military Academy.

He is survived by his mother; two sons, Lawrence Sheffield Brown (Amanda) of Fayetteville and Martin Thomas Brown (Sarah) of Beaver Lake; a grandson, Wallace Gerritt Brown; four brothers, Marty Brown, Dillard Brown, Cecil Brown, and Paul Craig Brown; his significant other, Andrea Elliott, beloved nieces and nephews and numerous close friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, David Brown.

Memorials may be made to the Stax Music Academy at soulsvillefoundation.org.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in West Memphis with the service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park. A celebration of life will be starting at 4 p.m. at Horseshoe Lake.

Don “Big D” Hay

Don “Big D” Hay, 59, of West Memphis died Friday, February 26, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jon Walter Hay and Doris Geraldine Howell Hay; and a sister, Deborah Hay.

Survivors include his son, Donald Walter Hay, Jr. of Covington, Tennessee; a cousin, Cheryl Courson; an aunt, Helen Latimer; and cousins, Tye Anderson, Brandon Anderson and Rodney Latimer.

A memorial service will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Memorial donations in his honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
