Celebrating a Century

Eugene Morgan of West Memphis celebrated his 100th birthday at Big John’s Shake Shack on Monday, June 12. He was presented with a proclamation from the City of Marion by Mayor Frank Fogleman to celebrate the occasion and received a signed and engraved proclamation from President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. Friends from the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post helped him celebrate with birthday cake and presented him with a flight jacket emblazoned with his name and Marine Corps insignia in recognition of his service on Guadalcanal in World War II.
