The West Memphis Fire Department battled the flames at the Riverbend Apartment Complex on South Avalon on Thursday. “Our firefighters rescued a toddler and two adults off the second-story balcony,” said Fire Chief Wayne Gately. “The toddler was dropped over the balcony and caught by Lt. Anthony Miller. The two adults were brought down a ground ladder to safety. All three are unharmed.”
