MPD sends out alert after attempted store robbery
Marion Shamrock locale site of unsuccessful holdup
ralphhardin@gmail.com The Marion Police Department is offering a “heads up” for everyone after an attempted robbery at a local convenience store.
“Just some community awareness,” said Marion Police Detective Lt.
Freddy Williams. “There was an attempted robbery at the Hwy. 64 Shamrock in Marion (Tuesday) morning around 6 a.m.”
According to Williams, a white male entered the store and attempted to purchase a few items. The man showed “some type of weapon, possibly a gun” and then fled from the store. “He did not get anything from the store, “Williams said. “He was seen leaving in a white vehicle. After viewing the store video it was determined the vehicle is a 2010 to 2012 Ford Fusion, white, ivory or cream in color.”
If any one has any information on this case, they are urged to call Crittenden County Crime Stoppers at (870) 7324444, or contact the Marion Police Department at (870) 739-2101.
