The time of the year that even the music lets you know
The time of the year that even the music lets you know
Local Commentary Before I get started I want to wish my precious wife of 56 years a Happy Birthday today and pray God will let her have many more. Of course I want to be there to enjoy them with her. OK, now we got the mushy stuff out of the way because I'm just a mushy type guy when it has to do with my darling but let's move on.
You know when you hear all this Christmas music playing every where you know that it is telling you that the old guy with the white beard and the sack on his back is just around the corner. And you know that all the little kiddies are all giddy because of what they think is about to happen.
Now with all this happiness that is taking place the one thing that I'm trying to understand is all this protesting in the streets across our land because of for the most part their preferred person didn't win this last election and I can some what under stand that their feelings are hurt and they just refuse to move on.
Now let me say I'm all for protesting and it is their right and let me say that the right that they have is because of our men and women of this great land gave their lives and in some cases their limbs for these people legal and illegal to get in the streets and protest but at the same time their rights are no more important than mine or anyone else out there in this great country of ours so when they block the streets or set something on fire then they have done away with the rights of someone else.
I'm old enough to say I have been through a lot of elections and when my person didn't win you know what I done, I got up on Wednesday morning and went to work and something else that I faced was no safe spaces and no days off with pay until I could get my composure together and get back to a point of being able to work a full day and that was the end of that until four years later.
But nothing was guaranteed when it came around again. Just another Wednesday to do it all over again but it seems to not be the case today in today's society and I believe that most of that is because we are turning our back on God. I get to thinking about a lot of these parents that have kids in some of these colleges across our land and whether they realize it or not the system is taking them from them.
I'm not sure but just maybe a lot of these parents believe the same way that the professors and their kids feel. Now for the ones that don't see it the same way let me say that you should really think about where you let you kid go to college because for the most part you are paying for it. If you are one of those like me then the money that you send to the college for your kid to go came from you getting up after the election in the past and went to work.
I think that a lot of you parents that have got kids in college or fixing to send them and it is to one of these colleges that a lot of the professors just don't like America and don't believe in God and think that political correctness and save spaces are the greatest thing to ever come into being then I think that you as a parent should receive a single black rose because for the most part you are going to get back a child that chances are you will not know who they are when they get through with their four years.
I do understand that with this being that time of the year that you have kind of put all of this to one side for now and I don't blame you for that. I know you understand that the fat guy in the red suit just don't take no for and answer so it's back to the important things. Another thing is you need to put some more ice on those bruises that you sustained during that black and blue Friday sale that we just went through and those ten dollars you saved on that $400 video game that they just had to have.
But look at it in a positive light — if the ice and the salve hold out it could be well by the time the fat guy gets here so see there is a silver lining in that cloud after all. But anyway life goes on and hopefully God will let you live through another Christmas and remember only he gets to call the shots on that one. So may God bless you and all the rest that is part of you and your family.
Love you in the name of Christ.
