Sugar Plum Market just around the corner…
6th annual EastArk Enterprises fundraiser Saturday at new location
ralphhardin@gmail.com Trainees at the EastArk Enterprises Sheltered Workshop have been hard at work getting ready for the annual Sugar Plum Market arts and crafts extravaganza.
Visitors can peruse over 3,000 square feet of shopping space, packed with hundreds of items available, set for Saturday, Dec. 3. After holding shop at the Holiday Plaza Mall in West Memphis for the first five years, the Sugar Plum Market makes its way to a new home this year at the Marion First Baptist Church, 2137 Hwy. 77, in Marion.
The Sugar Plum Market will feature local vendors as well as booths with arts and crafts from around the Mid-South, including Marianna, Wynne and Cherry Valley, Ark., Memphis, Cordova, Bartlett and Oakland, Tenn., and Olive Branch and Southaven, Miss.
“This is a chance to shop and find that one-of-a-kind item that will make a perfect Christmas gift for that hard to shop for person on your list,” said EastArk’s Janie Spence. “There’s so much to choose from, you’ve got to see it to believe it. This year, in addition to our lunch booth, we’re having a ‘Curiousities and Collectibles’ table.”
With a wide selection of vendors, food and fun, the fourth year for the Sugar Plum Market is sure to be a highlight of your shopping season. The menu includes chicken salad croissants, hot dogs, homemade beef and vegetable soup, and homemade cookies.
The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and there’s also still time to have a booth at the market.
