Above: West Memphis Fire Fighters Darryl Bell, Brian Bedinger, James Allensworth and Trent Hanks received State Senate Citations from Keith Ingram. The four were named Arkansas fire fighters of the year for the heroic rescue of a child from a burning house last October. Below left: Trent Gately is surrounded by family as he is promoted to Driver. His mother and grandmother work the sergeant collar pins after his dad, Chief Wayne Gately, applied the new badge. The chief noted that his son earned Driver two months quicker than he had.
