Marion School District Annual Report to the Public

– The report will be presented at 6 p.m. tonight, Oct. 20, at the Marion School District Central Office, 200 Manor Dr., in Marion.

Loaves and Fishes – Movie night with activities Friday,

Oct. 21 beginning at 7 p.m. at 8th Street Mission for Jesus Christ, 717 E. Broadway, West Memphis. A community fellowship filled with love. Parents bring your child to a fun filled night with hot dogs, popcorn, soda, gospel karaoke, electronic bowling, golf, baseball, arts and crafts and more.

Jazz and Gospel Extravaganza – The Memphis, Tennessee and /Crittenden County Arkansas Chapter of the Philander Smith Alumni present a fundraiser event for scholarships for students of Philander Smith College, Little Rock, Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary at Centenary United Methodist Church, 584 E. Annual County Fair – Sponsored by the United Methodist Women Saturday,

Oct. 22 at the First Methodist Church, 303 S. Carthon, Osceola. Bakery with homemade cakes, cookies, candy, chicken spectacular and Spanish delight casseroles and Attic Treasures will open at 10 a.m. Lunch of homemade vegetable soup or chili, cornbread, beverage and dessert will begin at 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door. Take-outs are available. Tickets for a homemade quilt will be available at the luncheon. Venders are welcome to set up in the courtyard. Earle School District Records to be Destroyed – If you have a child who had been enrolled in special education or speech therapy in the Earle School District between May 31, 2009 and May 31, 2010 their records will be destroyed after Oct. 28, 2016. You have the right to pick up your child’s due process records prior to the designated destruction date. These records will be available for pick up at the Earle Administrative Office. Pick up dates and times are Monday-Friday as follows: Oct. 10-14, 8 a.m-3:30 p.m. and Oct. 1721, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. If the time/dates are not convenient for you please leave a message at 870-792-8486.
