Blue Devil returns to help seniors apply for college

De’Shawn Barnes speaks to students, helps them plan their futures

WM School District De’Shawn Barnes graduated AWM in 2018, and now works for Lane College.

Barnes is an Enrollment Counselor at Lane College.

This week, he returned to his alma mater to speak with seniors about Lane.

He discussed admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, social activities, and majors offered.

Additionally, interested students with at least a 2.0 GPA were able to apply to Lane College and were given admission letters that same day.

Barnes, an AWM Class of 2018 graduate, is an Enrollment Counselor at Lane College. He came back to his alma mater on Tuesday to talk to AWM seniors about Lane’s admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, majors offered and more.

Interested students with at least a 2.0 GPA were able to apply and receive admission letters the same day!
