Southland offering cooks $5,000 bonus
Southland Casino Hotel Southland Casino Hotel will hold job fairs every Wednesday through May 25 at Southland to hire employees for the new casino complex that opened May 3. Southland is immediately hiring for both parttime and full-time positions and offers competitive wages, excellent benefits and growth potential.
Those who qualify will receive on-the-spot-offers, contingent on obtaining required licenses.
Kevin Goewey, Southland food and beverage director, said: “With three new restaurants open now, including the Ignite Steakhouse, The Fry House and The Grind coffee shop, plus The Kitchens – a unique buffet experience – opening soon, we want to hire and onboard all positions now. Tipped positions at Southland start at $10 an hour, and non-tipped positions start at $15, which is significantly more than what other food and beverage establishments offer in this market. Adding a $5,000 bonus for cooks and $2,000 bonus for other select positions makes us standout as the employer of choice.”
The job fairs are scheduled for every Wednesday through May 25., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with on-the-spot hiring opportunities.
