I keep hearing SHOP LOCAL but where are we supposed to shop local? I see a few chick stores but where are the retail stores?

Where is the place that keeps me from having to drive to Southaven or Jones boro (I am NOT shopping in Memphis). Do these companies (I’m looking at YOU Target, Kohl’s, JC Penny…) not want our money? Large retailers are among the businesses struggling the most to keep the doors open. In addition to the internet offering better and more convenient options, COVID- 19 has pretty much put the end to these big chain stores looking to expand, at least for the time being.
