Marion police confirmed they were investigating a pair of aggravated robberies on Sunday, January 10. The hold ups happened at two adjacent westside apartment complexes. Social Media buzzed about a pizza delivery driver being robbed and a man kidnapped and car jacked.
Detective Paul Turney acknowledged the two active investigations and provided a brief statement. The department policy restricted statements on cases under investigation.
“The Marion Police department is actively investigating two aggravated robbery incidents at to local apartment complexes in the City of Marion. Marion patrol units responded to a report of aggravated robbery and kidnapping on January 10,” said Turney.
“Later that evening, on the same day, a different subject reported they were robbed.”
Police reported no injuries in the armed robberies.
“At this time, information is limited due to the nature of these active investigations,” said Turney.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Marion Police Department at (870) 739-2101 or Crittenden County Crime Stoppers at (870) 732-4444. All calls will be kept confidential.
