Department of Economic Development might recoginze a familiar face.

Seven individuals have been elected to the board of the AEDCE. These individuals will serve their terms from Jan. 1, 2021 through Dec. 31, 2022.

The AEDCE membership elected Julie Allen, Amy Williams, Julie Murray, Ellie Baker, Bill Luther, Graycen Bigger and Corey Parks to the board.

Allen, the director of chamber affairs for the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce, will represent the First Congressional District. Williams, the president and CEO of the Cabot Chamber of Commerce, will represent the Second Congressional District. Murray, the president and CEO of the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce, will represent the Third Congressional District.

Both Baker and Luther will represent the Fourth Congressional District.

Baker is the director of economic development for the City of Magnolia, while Luther is the president and CEO of the El Dorado Union County Chamber of Commerce.

Bigger, the executive director of the Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Authority, will serve as an at-large member. Parks, the vice president of economic development for the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and the Conway Development Corporation, will also be an at-large member.

For 2021, JD Lowery, of the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, will serve as president of the board.

Mallory Darby, of West Memphis, will serve as first vice president, while Nancy Lee McNew, with the Economic Development Alliance for Jefferson County will serve as the second vice president. Gary Troutman, with the Hot Springs Metro Partnership/Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, will be secretary/

While she finishes her term as president in 2020, Arkansas Economic Development Commission senior project manager Katherine Holmstrom will serve on the 2021 board as the immediate past president.
