I’m beginning to wonder if even Black People think Black Lives Matter. It doesn’t seem like it.
[ Editor’s Note: I’m assuming this is a reference to Mayor Marco McClendon’s remarks about the tragedy of black- on- black crime and the shooting we had last week in West Memphis. I can say with a good deal of certainty that at least some Black people think their lives and their neighbors’ lives matter. The truth is, there are simply bad people out there, from all races, and to them, Black, Hispanic, Asian, whatever, the lives of others just don’t “ matter” to them]
*** Good job President Trump for extending the pandemic unemployment relief when the do-nothing congress refused to get a deal done.
It’s good to see a president who will step up and put party politics aside for the greater good! [ Editor’s Note: At first, I was like, “ Well, look at Trump…
stepping up with the executive order.” But then the details came out. First, the benefit was dropped from $ 600 a week to $ 400 a week, which wasn’t too bad… an even split of the $ 600 the Democrats wanted and the $ 200 the Republicans wanted. But then it was announced that the states would have to come up with $ 100 of that $ 400. Then it was announces that the state contribution was optional, so now it was going to be $ 300 a week for most folks, and now we’re not sure if it’s even going to happen]
