It’s Facebook official! Heavy equipment was spotted moving onto the site of a new Chick-fil-A to be located on the I-40 Service Road between Applebee’s and the Missouri Street Walgreens in West Memphis. The city remains under a non-disclosure agreement, but an independent source confirms that the popular eatery had closed its real estate deal to bring the long-awaited franchise to the community and that construction would begin in earnest within a couple of weeks. A post on the Times’ Facebook page generated immediate and widespread interest, being viewed more than 50,000 times in less than 24 hours.
