The Crittenden County Election Commission will be training poll workers at the 7th Street Church of Christ in West Memphis on three upcoming training sessions: Thursday, January 23, 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; Tuesday, January 28, 1:30 p.m.; Thursday, January 30, 9 a.m. To be a poll worker in 2020 you need to attend one of these classes. The Crittenden County Election Commission will be conducting L & A (logic and accuracy) testing on Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Crittenden County Office building next to the courthouse in Marion, followed by a meeting at noon. The public is invited to attend.

The Family Caregiver Support Program of East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging will hold its next monthly scheduled meeting for residents in the area on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m., at the Senior Life Center, 318 Tyler St., West Memphis. The support group provides those who are caring for elderly or disabled adults the opportunity to meet others who share the same responsibilities. Groups are run by professionals and can help caregivers devise productive strategies for dealing with stress that may arise around difficult decisions. The group provides education on diseases and conditions, stress and managing the care of others, available resources, emotional support and a quarterly newsletter. • 48th Annual Oyster Supper — Tickets are now available for the 48th Annual Knights of Columbus Oyster Supper, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at V.F.W. Post 5225, S.

Avalon, West Memphis.

Serving times will be from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. This year’s honorees are Richard Williford and Murphy Smith. Tickets are $35 per person and can be obtained by contacting Tom Myers at 901-849-6133.

• WMHS Class Reunion — West Memphis High School Class of 1974’75 are making plan for a fun-filled weekend of mixing and mingling, reconnecting with old friends, reminiscing the fun and good times the weekend of June 26-28, 2020. Rooms reservations can be made at LaQuinta Inn by Wyndham 1550 N. 6th St., West Memphis by June 19.

Registration fee is $100 per person, non-refundable, $50 due by Feb. 29, 2020, and the remaining balance by April 25.

• Families in Transition — provides support groups for victims of domestic violence as well as teen dating violence. We also provide “Safe Dates” Adolescent Dating Abuse Prevention Curriculum to schools, youth groups and any organization focusing on youth ages 12 and up. • Civil Air Patrol —

Civil Air Patrol meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the ASU Aviation Technical Center, 737 Taxiway Drive, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join the cadet program. Adults are needed to support the cadet program and emergency service operations.
