There’s recently been a surge in the popularity of trivia, thanks in large part to the “Greatest of All Time” challenge on the TV show Jeopardy!
Local folks with an encyclopedic graps on the trivial arts are going to wnat to get in on a fun way to flex those brain cells for a good cause.
On Monday, Jan.
27, the annual DeltaARTS Trivia Challenge returns, giving local brainiacs an opportunity to “show your smarts and support the arts.”
It promises to once again be a fun-filled evening where corporate and individual teams compete to match one another’s wits and general trivia knowledge.
The teams will work collaboratively to demonstrate their expertise in a wide range of categories — everything from science to literature to sports to pop culture to local history.
To register your team (up to eight members) for the 2020 Trivia Challenge by going online to deltaarts.org/trivia, or you can contact Geena Dorris at 870732-6260 or at gdorris@ deltaarts.org.
Entry fee is $600 for corporate intries (up to 8 players), $300 for non-profits (up to 8 players) or $25 per player for a groups of friends (4 to 8 players per team). The deadline to register is Tuesday, Jan. 7.
This year’s Trivia Challenge will once again take place at Southland Casino Racing, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Starting Gate Event Center.
