House fire in Jonesboro leaves two pets dead

JONESBORO — An overnight house fire in Jonesboro left two pets dead.

It happened just 2 a.m. Monday in the 1600-block of South Culberhouse Street.

According to Jonesboro Fire Department Battalion Chief Brett Bassham, when firefighters arrived, the fire, which was believed to have started in the garage, had spread into the house.

Only minimal damage was done to the house, and no humans were harmed in the blaze.
