• Black Knights Football —

The West Memphis Christian Black Knights (08) fell to the Delta Academy Raiders (2-6) of Marks, Miss., on Friday, Oct. 18 on the road 44-24.

The Knights will return to action on Friday, Oct. 25 for the final home game of the season, when they host Marvell Academy. It’s Senior Night and WMCS will salute the senior members of the Black Knights football and cheer squad. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Earle Bulldogs (51, 3-0 in 2A North) routed the Marvell Mustangs (24, 1-2 in 2A North) 76-6 last Friday night on the road. The Bulldogs will be back in action on the road in a key 2A Conference game versus Hazen (4-2, 2-1 in 2A North) on Friday, Oct. 25. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. in Hazen.

• Steudlein Wonder Kids Charity Golf Tournament —

at Marion Golf & Athletic Club. Tee-off is at 9 a.m.

Registration is $75 per person or $300 per team. Sponsorships are available: $400 a business (includes a team entry), $200 for a Friends of Steudlein sponsorship, Hole Sponsor is $150, and a $500 sponsorship of the driving range.

Boys & Girls Club Basketball — Registration

is underway now at the Crittenden County Boys & Girls Club. Through a Buffalo Wild Wings youth sports grant, the club is offering basketball for the 2019-2020 season at a discounted rate of $30 per player. Players will be placed on school teams for the season, with a boys and a girls division in 4th, 5th and 6th grades, to crown a County Basketball Champion (Marion MST, Marion HCGC, Marion MST, Bragg, Richland, Maddux, Weaver Jackson-Wonder, Faulk, Earle, St. Michael’s, West Memphis Christian elementary schools).

Recreational leagues for players age four through 3rd grade are also holding registrations. The deadline to sign up for the 20192020 season is Friday, Nov. 22.
