Razorbacks woes continue with lopsided loss to Auburn

Hogs fall to Tigers 51-10

The Arkansas Razorbacks won the coin toss. That was the only thing that seemed to go the Hogs’ way.

The Hogs’ first drive of the game started at their own 25-yard line after a touchback. After a pair of rushes for Rakeem Boyd, Ben Hicks dropped back to pass on 3rd and 6. He was sacked and stripped by Marlon Davidson, and Davidson recovered the fumble. Auburn took over at Arkansas’ 22-yard line.

The Tigers scored the first touchdown of the game with a 3-play drive, capped by a 4-yard touchdown run by Bo Nix.

Arkansas’s drive starts at their 25-yard line as a result of the touchback.

After a 2-yard completion to CJ O’Grady, two straight incompletions forced the three-and-out.

It was 17-0 at the half.

The Razorback defense stuffed Martin on a 3rd and short to force the threeand- out to start the 3rd quarterSiposs’ punt traveled 46 yards and the Hogs took over at their 13-yard line. On the first play of the drive, Boyd rushed for 11 yards to move the chains. A one-handed 13-yard reception by Burks on a 3rd and 9 kept the drive going. The Hogs converted another 3rd and long later in the drive when Daniel Thomas was hit with a facemask penalty. The drive was capped by a 28-yard Limpert field goal.

The final bright spot for the Hogs came late in the 3rd quarter. Arkansas took over once again on their 25-yard line after a fair catch by Warren. Boyd rushed for 10 yards on the first play of the drive that went for 39 yards on eight plays. Arkansas turned the ball over on downs after an incompletion by Hicks intended for Chase Harrell.

On the ensuing possession, De’Jon Harris forced Nix to fumble the ball and it was recovered by Sosa Agim. Hicks connected with O’Grady for a 45-yard touchdown on the first play of the drive with the PAT making it Auburn 31, Arkansas 10 with 00:14 left in the quarter. It was all tigers from there.

Warren took Carlson’s kick to the 20-yard line, and that is where the Hogs started their drive. A 2-yard loss by Boyd followed by an incompletion and an 8-yard rush by Boyd made it 4th and 4. The Hogs decided to punt the ball, and Loy’s punt traveled 39 yards.
