The West Memphis Christian Black Knights (0-7) fell to the Delta Streets Academy Lions (1-6) of Greenwood, Miss., on Friday, Oct. 4 at home at Black Knights Field. The Knights were off last week and will return to action on Friday, Oct. 18, when they travel to Marks, Miss., to take on the Delta Academy Raiders. Game time is 7 p.m.

the Marion Patriots (2-4, 1-2 in 6A East) lost to the Searcy Lions (6-0, 3-0 in 6A East) this past Friday night. Up next for the Patriots is a conference road test against the Mountain Home Bombers (0-6, 0-3). West Memphis Blue Devils (2-4, 1-2 in 6A East) fell to the Sylvan Hills Bears (2-4, 1-2 in 6A East) this past Friday.

• Earle Bulldogs Football — The Earle Bulldogs (4-1, 2-0 in 2A North) beat the Clarendon Lions 35-6 on Oct. 4, at home to win their second straight conference game.

• Steudlein Wonder Kids Charity Golf Tournament — Saturday, Oct 26, at Marion Golf & Athletic Club. Tee-off is at 9 a.m. Registration is $75 per person or $300 per team. Sponsorships are available: $400 a business (includes a team entry), $200 for a Friends of Steudlein sponsorship, Hole Sponsor is $150, and a $500 sponsorship of the driving range. Boys & Girls Club Basketball — Registration is underway now at the Crittenden County Boys & Girls Club. Through a Buffalo Wild Wings youth sports grant, the club is offering basketball for the 2019-2020 season at a discounted rate of $30 per player.

Players will be placed on school teams for the season, with a boys and a girls division in 4th, 5th and 6th grades, to crown a County Basketball Champion (Marion MST, Marion HCGC, Marion MST, Bragg, Richland, Maddux, Weaver Jackson- Wonder, Faulk, Earle, St. Michael’s, West Memphis Christian elementary schools). Recreational leagues for players age four through 3rd grade are also holding registrations.

The deadline to sign up for the 2019-2020 season is Friday, Nov. 22.
