Tommy Ray Ward Tommy Ray Ward, 82, of Marion, Arkansas passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019,
after a courageous battle with cancer. Tommy was born to Mr. Chester Ward and Mrs.
Gertrude Childers Ward on Oct. 13, 1936, in Bassett, Arkansas.
Tommy enjoyed washing his vehicles, keeping an immaculate yard, watching Razorback Football and Basketball games, road tripping to see loved ones, and desperately trying to understand the love of his life, Bettye. But above all else, his passion was serving his family in every capacity. Anything from household jobs, helping his sons, there was nothing he couldn’t fix or short order breakfast cooking for his 3 granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife; Bettye Hendon; two sons Tommy Ward II (Missy), Jeff Ward (Martha); three grandchildren Peyton Ward, Jillian Ward, and Natalie Ward; sisters, Francis Bryant, and Lois Barnes. He is proceeded in death by his parents, and one brother Bobby Ward.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 from noon until 1 p.m., at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, with services beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will take place upon the conclusion of the services at place at Crittenden Memorial Park located in Marion, Arkansas.
