On Saturday, Aug. 10, the Earle School District and Nabholz hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Earle Elementary School. The ribbon cutting was followed by an open house, allowing the over 200 attendees a chance to see the building before classes started this week. The Cardinal Club also hosted a community backpack drive during the event. Earle Mayor Sherman Smith, Sr. and Commissioner Johnny Key from the Department of Education were both in attendance, as well as several other state and local representatives.

The new 42,000 square foot elementary school, designed by CahoonSteiling Architecture, was built on the existing campus. Made to house Kindergarten-6th grades, it features 18 classrooms, space for OT, PT, and speech therapy, administrative offices, controlled access, and an improved drop-off and pick-up area.

“Nabholz has been working for the Earle School District for about 10 years and we were excited to continue our partnership with this project. The new school is an important addition to the district, one this amazing community deserves,” Brock Cline, Business Development Officer for Nabholz, remarked.

Founded in 1949, Nabholz is now a multi-service contractor providing construction, industrial, civil, specialty, environmental, and railroad services from its network of offices across seven states. For more information, visit www.nabholz.com.
