Sammie Washington, Jr., 66, of Joiner, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in the VA Medical Center, Memphis. He is survived by his wife, Regina Perkins Washington of Joiner; three daughters, LaDawan Walter of Fayetteville, Georgia, Takisha L. Johnson-Perkins of Beaumont, California and Rachanok Washington of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons, Johnny R. Hudson of San Jacinto, California and Sammie Washington, III of San Jose, California; three sisters, Hattie Ray of Chelford, Gloria Washington of McDonough, Georgia and Sundra Washington- Warner of Robins, Georgia; five brothers, Maurice Washington of Marked Tree, Robert Washington of Harvey, Illinois, Anthony Washington of Chicago, Illinois, Stanley Powell of Jonesboro and Ruark Washington of Lithonia, Georgia; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation Monday, July 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Anthony Funeral Home South Chapel. Services Tuesday, July 16, 12 Noon in St. Mark M. B. Church at Chelford, Arkansas with visitation one hour prior to service; Burial in the church cemetery.
