On June the 15th, the very proud-to-be grandparents, Charlie and Elizabeth and aunts-to-be, Chandler and Colby Young, hosted a co-ed twin baby shower for Chelsey and Joey Lewandowski in their home.

Chelsey and Joey are expecting twins, a boy and a girl. Seventy family and friends from Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and Arkansas helped to celebrate “Our Greatest Adventure Begins!” A buffet of barbecue ribs, pulled pork sliders, cocktail smokies, Cole slaw, baked beans, baked ham, an array of fresh fruits, chips, dips, cakes, cupcakes, pasta salad, chicken salad, and potato salad were the food choices. Party favor was Doublemint gum. They will certainly have double the pleasure, joy and fun!

“Pop-Pop” Young ended the celebration with a fireworks

On June the 22nd, Elizabeth and Colby Young attended a luncheon shower at the home of future grandparents, Michael and Julie Lewandowski.

Daughters, Becca Johnston and Addie Allgood hosted a baby shower for sister-inlaw, Chelsey. Cucumber, tuna, and chicken salad sandwiches, humus, fresh salad, fruits and veggies were served in their Oklahoma

The two-day weekend was enjoyed in Chelsey and Joey Lewandowski’s new Oklahoma home.

Sue Ann Elms was honored with a surprise party for her 85th birthday held at the Earle Baptist Church Family Life Center June 26.

She planned to attend Bible study but was greeted with happy birthday wishes from friends. The party room was decorated for the occasion. Co-hosts were members of the church.

Chili dogs, chips, dips, Jello salad, Bugles, birthday cake and ice cream was enjoyed by those present including Eric Elms and Grady Gennings of Memphis, Margaret and Dr. Steve Bailey of Osceola, Jean Burns, Christine Littlejohn, Becky and Larry Miller, Dennis Wann and Tommy Buford of West Memphis, Susie Root of Marion.

The Happy Hour club met at the First United Methodist Church July 1 where they enjoyed a potluck luncheon.

Becky Knapp is president. Rev. Tony Wells gave the July 4th devotional and led the singing of “America The Beautiful.”

The tables were decorated in red, white and blue.

Others present were Janis Lancaster, Louis Lancaster, Adria Roberts, Dot McKinney, Vickey Wells, Johnny Jenkins, Laura Pritchard, Jane Speed, Sue Dorman, Allison Bird and daughter Jada and Sue Ann Elms.

The next meeting will be held on September 2nd.

Adria and Mark Roberts spent the weekend in Eureka Springs where they celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary.
