Stackhouse, Smith arrested on homicide charges

ralphhardin@gmail.com A pair of murder suspects is behind bars as police close in on his accomplice.

Raheem Stackhouse, 23, was taken into custody on two counts of Homicide in the First Degree for the deadly shooting last Saturday at 1808 East Broadway, in West Memphis.

The WMPD, acting in conjunction with the U.S.

Marshals East Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, the ATF Multi-Agency Task Force, and the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, collaborated to take the fugitive into custody on Saturday, April 13, just after midnight.

Stackhouse surrendered to the officers at the Marion Police Department.

Investigators were still working to locate Reginald Smith, 23, for his role in the incident throughout the weekend, and Sunday afternoon, Smith surrendered to Mayor Marco McClendon and the West Memphis Police Department around 2:30 p.m.

The suspects are accused of killing two and injuring another at a social gathering in West Memphis and were scheduled to make their first court appearance this morning at 8 a.m.
