MST for FIT

Students from a local school performed a little civic duty last month to help out a beleagured nonprofit organization. The funds were raised during the October book fair at Marion MST and a “Pie Your Principal” fundraiser at a recent good behavior party. “We want to thank the students of Marion Math, Science, and Technology Magnet for their generous donation and for thinking of Families in Transition to receive a portion of the funds!” said FIT executive director Cassle Rutledge. Grace Rutledge (center), a FIT junior volunteer and daughter of the director, accepted the donation on behalf of FIT while the grown-ups were hard at work organizing the gifts for their clients’ Christmas wish-llsts. Grace and her fellow Mu Alpha Theta club also collected much needed baby Items for the shelter during the holidays.
