Dorothy “Dotty” Bumpers Patridge
Dorothy “Dotty” Bumpers Patridge, 92, of West Memphis passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. She was born on March 11,1926, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Eural Clay and Lila Jewell Bumpers.
Dotty graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Business Administration. She married Jesse James “Jim” Patridge and they spent 65 years together before he passed away in 2011. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Memphis for over 65 years.
Survivors include her son, James C. Patridge and his wife, Ellen, of Texarkana, Texas; her daughter, Bonnie Buntin and husband, Taylor, of Hernando, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Jennifer Patridge Harrington and husband, Jared, Clay Patridge and Mary Elizabeth Buntin Kirkpatrick, and husband Stephen.; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bette Mills of Piggott, Arkansas; three nieces, Gay Johnson and husband, Glenn, Mary Ann Mills, Pam Hale and husband, David: two nephews, David Mills and wife, Connie, Clay Bumpers; one sister-in-law, Patricia Bobbitt and husband, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, JJ. Patridge; and one brother, John Clay Bumpers and wife, Pat.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10,2019, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in West Memphis, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church in West Memphis, 215 N.
