AWM Quiz Bowl hits the road

Team tours, competes in trivia challenges

www.wmsd.net Four members of the AWM Quiz Bowl Team attended AGQBA Quiz Bowl Camp at the C.A.

Vines 4H Center, Nov. 16 and 17. They were senior Bradly Flippo, junior Braden Husband, and sophomores Chelsei and Chassidi Arnold. Chassidi Arnold was on the 3rd place team and received a medal, certificate and a $25 prize.

10, two teams competed in the Ole Miss Brain Brawl.

Team 1 consisted of Bradly Flippo, Michael Skjefte, Rondarius Howard, and Elise Brazile coached by DeWanda Kirkland. Chase Roberson, Grace Wilson, Chelsei Arnold, and Chassidi Arnold made up Team 2 coached by Regina Hernandez. Grace Wilson and Michael Skjefte were the MVP’s of their respective teams.

After the tournament we toured Rowan Oak, the home of Pulitzer Award winning author William Faulkner where students from Ole Miss’s archaeology department were holding an Archaeolgy Day, explaining ground penetrating radar, wire vs. cut nails and how archaeologists find out the human history of a preserved site like Rowan Oak.
