Making the Rounds

West Memphis mayoral runoff candidates, city councilmen Wayne Croom and Marco McClendon were busy working in the community last week. Above, Councilman Croom continued his work with DeltaARTS as fundraising chair and president. The group’s year-long campaign to raise $500,000.00 for improvements to the Schoettle Arts Center was realized last Friday night. Croom offered thanks and congratulations to supporters of the arts in Crittenden County. Meanwhile, (below) Councilman McClendon was visiting Mrs. Erma J. Martin, recognizing her for being in business for 12 years as a successful minority business owner. McClendon presented the award to Mrs. Martin, proud owner of The Learning Room Academy. Also included in the photos are her son, Marty Martin and daughter in law, Tawanda Martin. McClendon procolaimed Nov. 6, 2018, Erma J. Martin Day!
