Wet Weather in the Halloween Forecast

LITTLE ROCK – With rain in the forecast for Halloween, some areas of the state altered their trick-ortreating plans. Some communities decided to try to beat Mother Nature and hold their trick-or-treating on Tuesday. Wynne, Pleasant Valley, and Russelville were among those who moved the annual candy-collecting frenzy to last night.

But most cities and towns have announced trick-ortreating is staying on schedule for this evening due to events that were already planned and would have been too confusing to reschedule.

Rain is expected on-and-off for most of the day today and continuing overnight.

Fourth Tucker Inmate in Two Weeks Found Dead

LITTLE ROCK – An Arkansas prison inmate died after being found unresponsive in his assigned barracks Sunday, the state Department of Correction reported Monday.

Harrison Flanery, 48, was found about 1:20 p.m. during a regular security check at the Tucker Maximum Security Unit in Tucker, according to the state prison system. Medics treated Flanery at the scene and took him to the prison infirmary, where he was pronounced dead at 1:43 p.m.

Flanery had been serving a 15-year sentence for a firstdegree sexual assault conviction in Greene County in 2014. His cause of death was not immediately known.

Arkansas State Police and the state Department of Correction are investigating.

Flanery is at least the fourth inmate to die at the Tucker Unit in the past two weeks. Dan Shelton, 53, William Turner, 46, and David Mulkey, 49, were each pronounced dead after being found unresponsive.

Woman Accused of Setting Boyfriend’s House on Fire

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Rebecca Noble, 26, is facing arson charges after a fire at a Jefferson County home in the 3800 block of Lowman Road.

Noble's boyfriend, Derrick Drewry, the homeowner, said he and Noble were arguing when she advised him that she was going to 'burn the house down'.

Drewry said he then went outside to his truck in order to avoid any further arguments. While sitting in the truck, Noble knocked on his window and said his house was on fire.

Nobles was arrested a short time later. Deputies said Nobles had a cigarette lighter on her at the time of her arrest which they believe was used to start the fire.
