Roberts releases ‘ Life after the Storm’

news@theeveningtimes.com

Janice Roberts, native of Tennessee who has now lived in Arkansas for three years, recently held a booksigning party at her home church, 15th Street Church of God in Christ, to celebrate the release of her biography, “Life after the Storm.”

“I wrote the book as a riveting memoir of my life as a young girl who struggled with an abusive childhood,” said Roberts, “abuse that led to many tumultuous circumstances in my adult life.”

Roberts said her hardships led to her developing health problems.

“It caused me to have an eating disorder that I still battle with,” she said. “I have experienced many trials and tribulations in my life.”

One day, she said, “I was given a prophetic word from a great woman of God that through my testimony, I would share with women all around the word that there is, indeed, life after the storm.”

The book is the culmination of a long journey.

“I wrote ‘Life after the Storm’ seven years ago,” she said. “It was published this past May. My mission is to help women all around the world and tell my story to help women to overcome mental and physical abuse and low self-esteem. Many women are in abusive relationships and don’t know how to get out.”

Roberts said she hopes her story will give inspiration and motivation to women and teenagers who may be victims of abuse.
