Wheeless announces WM Council bid

Longtime local business-man seeks Ward 3 seat

Charles Wheeless has announced his filing for the West Memphis City Council Ward 3, Position 1 seat in the upcoming November elections.

Wheeless saw the opportunity to serve and made the decision to invest himself in the community he calls home.

“I’ve lived in West Memphis over 47 years,” he said. “Many years of this time has been in business ownership.”

As a concerned member of the community, Wheeless has ideas that he hopes will help the city prosper.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve the citizens of West Memphis

in the areas of police, fire and future growth,” he said, with a focus on what he believes to be the city’s number one concern.

“Crime being the main issue, I’m looking forward to helping to build a stronger police force,” Wheeless said. “Working together in unity we can change the direction of our city.”

Wheeless said he is looking forward to working for the citizens of Ward 3 and West Memphis.
