Child Development Associate training in West Memphis

Arkansas State University Childhood Services to hold special certification seminar

news@astate.edu JONESBORO – Childhood Services at Arkansas State University has announced it will conduct training for interested individuals in the West Memphis area who would like to earn the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

Libby James, program coordinator, explained that the nationally recognized CDA credentialing process has the advantage of providing access to the latest techniques and information on best practices for childhood education professionals.

Classes in West Memphis will meet alternating Saturdays, enrolling through Aug. 29.

Childhood Services at Arkansas State, which has been providing CDA training for more than 30 years, offers a complete package that includes trained advisors and instructors.

Prospective participants can obtain more information about the CDA credential through the Childhood Services website, asuchildhoodservices. org; through email, ljames@AState.edu; or by phone, (870) 9723055 or (888) 429-1585.

CDA classes also are planned for Jonesboro, Harrison and Rogers.
