Gayle and Bob Berry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party held at Angels Way Baptist Church in Marion July 21.
They married July 21, 1968, in the Nazarene Church in West Memphis.
The couple wrote their own vows to each other to recite in the Angel’s Way sanctuary.
The guest book table was covered with a gold cloth and held a vase of white roses.
Pictures displayed included the brides engagement picture, the grooms Marine Corp. graduation picture, and their wedding picture.
A large basket of Magnolias completed the decorations in the sanctuary.
The reception table was covered with a white cloth overlaid with a gold cloth. A large basket of white roses with the golden number 50 in the center of the flowers completed the table decorations.
The three tiered white cake with buttercream frosting decorated with gold and white silk flowers, pearls and gold leaves was made by Sherry Lovelady. Golden cup cakes and nuts were also served with fruit punch made by Anna Beth England.
The reception was hosted by Tommy and Mary Jo Staggs and Faye Johnson.
Linda Beveal, a former bridesmaid and the brides cousin, was present from Houston, Texas, along with the grooms brother, James Hamm of Jefferson, Texas who served as ring bearer.
Other guests were C. C. Hamm of Jefferson, Texas, Johnny and Debbie Conn of Walls, Mississippi.
Also friends and family were present from Marion, West Memphis, Earle, Colt and Batesville.

Ninety-nine Years & Counting
Christine Littlejohn celebrated her 99th birthday with family members honoring her in various ways starting with Donna and Bobby Littlejohn of West Memphis taking her to Cracker Barrel for lunch.
On Saturday, Becky and Larry Miller had a cook-out at their home. Those attending enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade ice cream and cake. Included were Justin and Ko Lowery, Hannah Lowery and Blake Lowery of Little Rock, Shari Gross of Memphis, Kim and Mark Miller of Crawfordsville and grandsons of Iowa. The home of Sharron Littlejohn in Wynne was the setting for the get together on Sunday. Those present were Casey and Brett Tucker of Little Rock, Deborah and Scott Littlejohn and sons Jacob and J. D., Terry and Robbie Hutcherson of Wynne.
Lisa and Mike Carter and daughter Abby of Fayetteville visited with the birthday honoree and family members Sunday night.
