Fresh and Fruity!

Displays of fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables whet the appetites of shoppers at produce stands in Marion, Earle and Lehi last weekend. Watermelon, squash, peaches and tomatoes highlighted colorful displays along county roadsides. Flowers, fruit and friendly smiles brightened the market at Lehi. Shelves filled with home canned delectables including some famous Chesapeake Farm chow chow stood like soldiers alongside kitchen antiques at the market in Earle. BJ in Marion put out a colorful display including tomatoes, squash and cucumbers and had it made in the shade during the hot afternoon.
