West Memphis woman charged with murder

Kadaysha Bradford in custody after baby dies of cocaine overdose

ralphhardin@gmail.com AWest Memphis woman is being charged with second degree murder following the death of her young son.

Kadaysha Bedford, 34, was arrested Wednesday after felony warrants, including one for Homicide/Murder in the 2nd Degree, were issued for her role in the death of her 17-month-old son.

“This charge stems from the 17-month-old ingesting a lethal amount of crack cocaine in the Crown Inn on May 2,” West Memphis Police Department Enforcement/ Criminal Investigation Division Commander Captain Joe Baker reported “Bedford also has three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor stemming from the same incident.”

Investigators are continuing to look into the details of the case. Bedford is currently in custody at the Crittenden County Detention Center.
