Cross Community Church has met in a warehouse north of Marion for four years. The growing congregation stepped forward with the purchase of a 8.3 acre lot on Highway 77 as site for is own permanent home.

“The location stands across from Ace Hardware at 924 Highway 77,” said founding pastor and church planter Adam Cupples.

Preliminary renderings showed the main worship area holding nearly 300.

The exterior featured rock, brick and steel siding. The building plans showed the church house set back from the highway with parking out front.

Cupples planned a big reveal and vision casting sermon for the congregation the first Sunday in June.

“Our anniversary is the first Sunday in June,” said Cupples. “We’ll be presenting the vision. We asked people to contribute toward a goal. They met that goal.

So we’ll recast the vision.”

Cupples planned for the church to pay off the land purchase and use the land as collateral to secure money to build. He’s leaving the schedule for all that to the Holy Spirit and the Church members.

“I don’t know how long it will take, but that is the process,” said Cupples.

The pastor had high hopes for the new location.

“I personally think it’s really going to help attendance because we’ve previously been outside the city and this is a really heavily traveled area,” said Cupples. “Our hope is to reach this county with as many people as we can to see them saved and growing in Christ.”

Cross Community Church launched through partnerships with the Churches Planting Churches Network and is sponsored by

SoulQuest Church and its pastor Ronnie Coleman of Jackson, Tennessee. Because of the founding support, Cross Community Church aligned with the Tennessee Baptist Convention and Association of Related Churches.
